The Allen-Bradley 1756-A17K is an open-type chassis. This chassis should be installed in an appropriate enclosure designed for certain environmental conditions. The 1756-A17K is designed for the horizontal rear panel assembly. If the chassis mounting tab is not lying flat before the screws are secured, use additional washers as shims so that the chassis is not folded by the screw tack. A warped chassis can damage the backplane and cause intermittent operation. The Allen-Bradley 1756-A17K contains a ground bus. The ground bus is a common connection for each chassis inside the enclosure and the cage itself.
